Giving Up Attachments for Lent

Posted by on Mar 4, 2012 in blog

As we begin the 2nd week of Lent, it is important to take time out to “check-in” with ourselves and our Lenten plan.  Whether we’ve decided to give up chocolate, Facebook, soft drinks, or decided to add a new devotion or spiritual component to our lives, the key to any Lenten sacrifice is to exercise our spiritual muscles!  Giving something up (or for that matter adding something new to our routine like daily Mass) offers us an opportunity to stretch and...

I’m Coming Home, Coming Home, Tell the World I’m Coming Home…

We find ourselves liturgically between two powerful Gospels.  This past Sunday Jesus reveals a great deal of who He is through the Transfiguration.  Next Sunday Jesus will...

Three Retreats, Two Days, One Awesome Week!

Posted by on Mar 18, 2011 in blog

This March has proven to be an incredible and crazy time for us!  We were blessed to spend some time this week with young people from the Archdiocese of New Orleans and some even younger people from the Diocese of Baton Rouge. On Tuesday, after a rambunctious morning of games and team building activities, Jason talked with the 7th grade boys of St.Clement of Rome in Metairie, LA, about putting on the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-20) In the Battle of life. On Thursday, we...
