Truth. Tradition. Transformation.

These three words summarize our mission at Source + Summit Ministry!

TRUTH.  Through our events we offer an opportunity for participants to break open Scripture and to dive deep into our beautiful Catholic teachings.  Jason and I also offer training in youth ministry and adult faith formation through workshops or consultation.

Along with our parish and diocesan work, we are excited to announce our latest endeavor: a weekly BLOG!  Beginning in Advent 2010, Source + Summit will be offering a weekly blog as a resource for you!  While the blog will be mainly catechetical, it will include tips in youth ministry, adult faith formation, and evangelization.

TRADITION.  As stated on our mission page:  We seek to share the truth of our Savior’s life through the Gospels, to reignite a love for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, and to increase the confidence of the Catholic faithful to go forth and evangelize.  None of these desires would be possible without prayerful obedience to the teachings of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church!

TRANSFORMATION.  Our mission is first and foremost Eucharistic.  The Catechism of the Catholic Church, #1324, reads:

The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life.  The other sacraments, and indeed all ecclesiastical ministries and works of the apostolate, are bound up with the Eucharist and are oriented toward it.  For in the blessed Eucharist is contained the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ himself, our Pasch.

What a gift we have in the Eucharist!  Christ’s Real Presence with us here on earth!!  Yet how often do we contemplate such a wondrous mystery?  By focusing our catechetical efforts on a true understanding of this great gift we hope to provide an opportunity for each person we encounter to be forever changed.
