As Summer (and Hurricane season) rapidly approaches we find ourselves inundated with news of natural disasters in our region.  Between the flooding of the Great Mississippi and the deadly tornadoes experienced throughout the South, we are constantly being reminded of the uncertainty of life. Open your eyes!

This past Sunday’s gospel is one of my favorites.  Luke 24 tells the story of the “Road to Emmaus” and the disciples who are in disbelief that Jesus has died.  Everytime I read or hear this Gospel, I seem to gleam a new insight.  It is so power packed with meaning that it can really take a while to unpack. Be Not Afraid

This weekend we traveled to St. Jude Church in Baton Rouge to speak to a group of 5th-12th graders.  Katie spoke to the group about the prodigal son since it was Divine Mercy Sunday and how the Father always welcomes us home.
